I had been a gym member for a few years but had only started training seriously about a year before my wedding to get in shape before the big day. With about 10lbs to loose I began training four times per week doing various step, aerobic and spinning classes. However this all came to a halt when I badly tore my left calf durin g a step class and ended up on cruches for 2 weeks followed by some pretty painful physiotherapy.
After that horrible experience I decided I needed some help in the gym. I enlisted Rachels help and on our first session I told her what I had been doing up to that point. She explained that it's no wonder that I got injured myself since I hadn't been doing any resistance training at all. Up to that point I had always been fairly intimidated by weights-to my mind such things were "for the lads".
I started to reap the benifits from training with Rachel almost immediately. Emotionally I was happier, more positive and confident. Physical changes followed quickly. Within a few weeks I noticed my clothes looser and muscle definition on my legs, arms and shoulders-eventually even on my waist (something I never thought was possible without insanely hard work.)
I had started training with Rachel merely to educate myself but soon decided this wasn't something I wanted to stop. I was more motivated and confident in the gym-getting myself into the building was no longer a mental argument with myself. Rachel is an excellent personal trainer. She is very knowledgeable, but equally important encouraging. She pushed me-but no so hard that I wanted to run screaming from the building. She has a lovely warm personality and a wicked infectious sense of humour and we had a laugh during the hard training sessions. I can't recomend her highly enough!

I started training with Rachel after having my second baby and although fit and in reasonable shape I wanted to get the best out of my time in the gym so I decided to hire Rachel for personal training. I had seen some of the great results other people were getting from weight training so I decided I'd give it a go.
My body has definately changed for the better-particularly my upper body has become more toned but my lower body has benifited a lot too.Friends strarted to comment on my new shape only one month after starting trainng with Rachel.
Training with Rachel was very enjoyable anthough I didn't think I'd would enjoy it as much because I had been very focused on cardio workouts(running, spinnning ect.) before. I was afraid that if I didn't do all that cardio I would turn into a blob and loose my fitness but Rachel assured me that I wouldn't and she was right. I do about 30 percent of the cardio I used to and am more toned and fitter than ever. Training with Rachel was great because we had a laugh during our sessions and I didn't feel the time passing.
